Brief about the journey
Kerala is known as one of the most prominent tourist destinations in India, Kerala has unique geographical features that give the state a special place in the world tourism map. The land is having boarders the towering Western Ghats on the west and Arabian Sea on the east. It is an evergreen area by surrounded by 44 rivers. These rivers, except three, originate in the Western Ghats and create a vast network of canals, inlets, streams, rivulets, estuaries, and backwaters. The backwaters of Kerala are a labyrinthine system that consists of lagoons and lakes which are linked through many canals. These backwaters witness a number of tourist activities throughout the year. The romantic monsoon rain that hardly shows any furry on the landscape attracts many honeymooners to this exquisite state. The state also has high literacy rates, high life expectancy, and highest female gender ratio and the people are very hospitable. The state also has many ecotourism projects that include many adventures trip and it is a chance to know the nature and wilderness from up close.
DAY 1 : Kochi
On arrival at the Kochi meet our representative.He will assist and transfer you to the hotel. Then a city tour covering Jewish Synagogue, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing nets, Dutch Palace and Antique shops. Overnight at Cochin hotel staying.
DAY 2 : Munnar
Wake up nice and after having the nice breakfast proceed to Munnar. It was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The never ending vast expanse of tea plantations and round the year moderate climate makes it a little haven for visitors. On the way visit the very famous Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Munnar.hotel.
DAY 3 : Munnar
Have the breakfast to Echo point and Mattupetty Dam. Here the Speed boating facilities are available .The dam is flanked by forests and vast expanse of grass land on one side and the Kundala tea plantation on the other. In the Afternoon visit Rajamala- house of the highly endangered mountain goats - the Nilgiri Thars (Rajamala is closed from Jan 21st to Mar 31st, 2019).Overnight stay in hotel at Munnar.
DAY 4 : Thekkady
In the morning after the breakfst proceed to Thekkady. By noon at Thekkady. Then proceed to Periyar lake around which the sanctuary is built, for boating (cost extra). This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing the wild life at close quarters from the safety of a boat. You can also enjoy a plantation tour covering tea, pepper, cardamom,coffee, cinnamon etc. Today you will Stay in Thekkady.
DAY 5 : Alleppey
Morning after having the breakfast drive to Kumarakam or Alleppey. By noon check in at the hotel and do the necessary formalities . Afternoon do a couple of hours motor boat cruise (optional- cost not included) through the the legendary backwaters of Kerala. On the way you will witness a full range of lifes and activities and some mind boggling sceneries. Evening at leisure. Overnight you will stay at Kumarakam or Alleppey.
DAY 6 : Kovalam
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Kovalam- the internationally renowned beach destination. Spend the rest of the day in the sandy beaches of Kovalam flanked by coconut groves on one side and Arabian sea on the other. Overnight at the beach side hotel.
DAY 7 : Kovalam
Morning after breakfast proceed for a city tour of Trivandrum covering Napier Museum and Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Afternoon at leisure in Kovalam. Overnight at Kovalam.
DAY 8 : Trivandrum Airport
In the morning have a nice breakfast proceed to Trivandrum airport / railway station for onward journey.And it will be the end of an nice travel experience for you.
